Ever heard of ABBOTT?
Has anyone ever heard of Abbott? they are a giftware and home decor wholesaler, I found them while searching the web one day and although I think you need to own a business to buy their stuff they do have a catalogue of really nice stuff. I have even sometimes seen their stuff at HomeSense! Here are a few of their things that caught my eye...
skeleton key napkin rings, too cute!
camel tea pot, yup I want it!

Mating call
I have been meaning to find a place for my little starfish which purchased one day over at Bowring and thanks to another little visit to Home Sense where I found this awesome glass mini dome I did just that! Now my two starfish are on display for all to marvel at...cute, isn't it how they look like they are mating? I swear that was the only way I could get the one to stand up! hee hee.

Updates
I made some minor updates to my office nook via artwork, I added a new Etsy print above the desk. I also added a new framed picture on the desk, both are in my signature room colour black and white. I also updated another little nook in the other corner of my room known to me as the "reading nook". I painted and reupholstered my antique chair got a great chandelier satin pillow from Home Sense and topped it off with a bunch of framed artwork...the kicker is that the pictures are homemade, as in, I took them on my recent trip to Paris and Italy. Why pay for art right?

Finds
I decided to venture out today to find some deals. I had no idea if I was going to find any, but I knew I at least had to try, because everything lately is on sale, or clearance and I needed to give my purse strings a break!
In the US you guys have a store called HomeGoods and our equivalent over here in Canada is HomeSense, a discount home store so I went there and found some napkin rings and some printed napkins and I also went to Value Village where I scored an Asian inspired plant pot and finally Zellers where I found some more place mats of which I already owned 4 and decided I needed 4 more!
The real kicker is how much I spent, or rather how much I didn't, here is the break down:
1. plant pot- $2.99
2. 4 place mats-$ 6.00
3. 4 napkins-$ 5.00
4. 4 napkin rings $4.00
Grand total= $17.99
YAY under $20 dollars!!
Pretty good for the day, now I just have to throw a dinner party to use all my new stuff :)
